December 9-11 We are off the IRIS and relaxing at Sebastians on the Beach Resort at Apple Bay, Tortola. Then off for Antiqua where we will begin the Leeward Island leg of our journey. Stay tuned!
December 12-14 Made our way back to the USA...OK, St. Thomas a US territory. We are staying at the Point Pleasant Resort for a couple days awaiting weather to Antiqua. Then departing from American Yachts at Red Hook Marina 340-775-6454
December 15-18 Slog to Antigua
December 19th to January 12th 'Marooned' in Antigua. English Harbor and then Falmouth Harbour. Contact point is the English Harbour dockmaster. We will be moving to Jolly Harbour on the 7th awaiting departure for our longest sail yet, to Domenica, where we hope to stay for several days.
January 14th The winds have abated! We are heading south. Destinations: Guadelope, Isle de Saintes, and Dominica.
January 16th Long sail to Dominica, where we anchored off Portsmouth (Prince Rupert Bay) and plan to stay for a couple weeks. This is the single most beautiful destination we have encountered. I will be posting many entries about this place.
February 8th Leaving Dominica, en route to Isle de Saintes ("island of the Saints"). We will stay there until the winds die down. We will experience the Saints, then move on to Montserrat, Barbuda, St. Kitts and Nevis.
February 10th We are anchored in the bay of Bourge de Saintes. Safe and resting, working on my French.
March 4th We are hanging out in Antigua at the Jolly Beach Villas next to the Jolly Beach Marina...drying out, looking for a boat, and plotting our next move.
March 11th We are heading back to Dominica. The winds are right, and we could not get enough.
March 20th Heading North. Destination--back to the Virgins. Until April 1 we can be reached at the Jolly Harbour Marina, Antigua.
April 2017: Back in the BVI. We can be reached at the Fat Hog Harbour Marina on Tortola 268-462-6042
May 2017: Still tooling around the BVI. Catching up on posts. We may turn back to Antigua mid month.
